Since its release, the Nintendo Switch is a console that is used exclusively to play. Things will however begin to change this week.
NicoNico, the famous Japanese video sharing website, has announced that it will be accessible on Nintendo Switch via an application starting tomorrow, Thursday July 13. Not surprisingly, this application has only been announced in Japan.
The US and European Switch allow using a Japanese account, so Westerners who use NicoNico will also be able to watch videos on their console this week.
At the time of writing these lines, Nintendo has not announced a date of the arrival of YouTube, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video applications on Switch. The Japanese giant, however, said negotiations were underway and that applications of this kind will arrive "in due course."
