And for good reason, the latter has just unveiled its minimum configuration required on PC via Steam.
Minimum configuration:

-Memory: 4GB memory
-Graphics: 1 GB VRAM NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260
-DirectX: Version 10
-Disk space: 10 GB of available hard disk space
-Sound card: DirectX Compatible
Outlast 2 is still expected for the first quarter of 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC
